A legal disclaimer

Introduction

 

Welcome to Alessandrini IT Solutions. By accessing our website (alessandriniitsolutions.com) or utilizing our IT services (including computer repair, network installations, and smart home setups), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

Services Provided

 

Alessandrini IT Solutions provides technical support, hardware repair, custom computer building, network optimization, and smart home device installation for residential and small business clients in New Jersey.

  • We warrant that services will be performed with reasonable skill and care.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason, including but not limited to devices that are beyond repair, hazardous environments, or requests to bypass security protocols.

Estimates and Payment

​

  • Estimates: Any price estimate given is based on our initial evaluation. If unforeseen issues arise (e.g., additional wiring needed for a smart doorbell), we will contact you for approval before proceeding.

  • Payment: Payment is due upon completion of the service. We accept [Cash, Credit Cards, Venmo, etc.].

  • Late Payment: Invoices not paid within [30 days] may be subject to a late fee.

Risk of Data Loss

  • Backup Responsibility: You acknowledge that it is your sole responsibility to back up all data (files, software, personal information) on any computers or storage devices prior to handing them over to us.

  • Liability Release: Alessandrini IT Solutions is not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or recovery costs that may occur during repair or network configuration.

Pickup and Storage

​

  • Completed Services: You agree to pick up your device within [30 days] of notification that the service is complete.

  • Abandoned Property: Devices left in our possession for more than [90 days] after service completion (or refusal of service) will be considered abandoned and may be disposed of to recover costs, in accordance with New Jersey law.

Smart Home & IoT Services (Specific Terms)

 

When hiring us to install or configure Smart Home devices (e.g., smart cameras, thermostats, voice assistants, smart locks), you agree to the following:

  • Connectivity & Third-Party Apps: We will ensure the device is connected and functioning at the time of service. However, we are not responsible for future disruptions caused by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), Wi-Fi signal interference, or updates to the manufacturer's mobile app.

  • Account Credentials: To set up these devices, we may need to assist you in creating accounts with third-party providers (e.g., Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Ring). You are responsible for managing and securing these passwords. We do not retain access to your smart home accounts after our service is complete.

  • Privacy & Surveillance Laws: If we install security cameras or audio recording devices, you (the client) are solely responsible for ensuring their use complies with all applicable local, state, and federal surveillance and privacy laws. We accept no liability for illegal recording or privacy violations committed using equipment we installed.

  • Firmware Security: While we will follow best practices to secure your devices during installation (e.g., changing default passwords), we cannot guarantee that any IoT device is immune to future hacking or security vulnerabilities inherent in the manufacturer's software.

Limited Warranty

​

  • Labor: We provide a [30-day] warranty on our labor. If the same problem reoccurs within this period, we will correct it at no additional labor cost.

  • Connectivity Exclusion: Our labor warranty does not cover smart home devices falling offline due to changes in your Wi-Fi password, router replacement, or ISP outages after our technician has left.

  • Hardware: New hardware components are subject to the original manufacturer’s warranty. We do not offer independent warranties on third-party hardware.

Limitation of Liability

 

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Alessandrini IT Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service at issue.

Governing Law These Terms shall be governed by and defined following the laws of the State of New Jersey.
